"Kamimizo Summer Festival" is the traditional festival continued
over 200 years from the Edo period, and the biggest festival in nothern
Kanagawa Pref, Japan. More than 20 portable shrines "MIKOSHI"
and 8 festival cars "DASHI" parade bravely and magnificently
in this festival.
The portable shrine of Kamimizo Gobukai was built in the middle of Edo
period and still used as active is the oldest one in Kamimizo. We "Kamimizo
Gobukai Igumi Mikoshiren" inherit the various traditions of the portable
shrine of Kamimizo Gobukai, and Kamimizo Summer Festival. These are our
important missions.
